I enjoyed so many thing when I visited Venice. There is one thing a visitor to Venice must do, take a gondola ride at night. Be sure to bring along a bottle of wine for the boat ride.

If you can handle the traffic and the crowds San Fransisco is a great place to visit. Once you’ve perfected driving a stick shift in SF you can drive one anywhere!

I haven’t visited many of the other piers but our family usually goes to Pier 39 at least once a year. Even at the price you have to experience a cable car at least once on your visit.

Lassen’s got some great hiking. During the summer my family and I like to do a “Moon light” hike to the top. Once the snow is melted (not safe when there is snow), you choose a night with no clouds and a full moon. You can hike the entire trip up in a couple hours from one of the upper parking areas. You should bring a flashlight, but with the moon you don’t really need it.

Quite a view from the top with everything lite by moonlight. It’s pretty popular so there are always some other groups doing the same, but I’ve never seen it at all crowded. Well worth trying!
