Some of the issues that potential residents of Canada may want to consider upon moving include the cost of living in Canada, medical costs in Canada, and employment upon Canada immigration.

The cost of living in this country is high probably due to having to import many everyday living items. In order to supplement the high cost of living, one must obtain a job. In order to do this, one must first get a visa from the Canadian Visa Services office.

There are two different types of visas that one may obtain from the Canadian Visa Services, permanent and temporary. Temporary visas can be valid anywhere from weeks, to months, or years. Permanent visas, however, are awarded when the Canadian workforce cannot fulfill a certain position. After obtaining a visa, one must then consider about the healthcare costs here.

Generally, most temporary visa holders are not eligible to enroll in the Canadian Medicare program. However, some exceptions may apply as some jobs are bound to have higher risk and it’s the employer’s responsibility to make sure that they can get a valid visa for this purpose.

For more information on these exceptions one should contact the Canadian Visa Services office.

Banff is located just off the Trans-Canada Highway (Canada Route 1). Banff is a rather consciously pretty town in a splendid setting. It is Canada’s number one tourist destination, making Banff an incredibly popular location. You should make bookings for Hotels in Banff well in advance. Banff is the second-largest of Canada’s mountain parks, behind Jasper. The major gateway to Banff is the Calgary International Airport (YYC). The easiest way to Banff is by flying into Calgary International Airport.

A must do in Banff is a full day sightseeing tour that travels through landscapes carved by glaciers and opened by pioneers. Banff is famous for its spectacular setting in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The town of Banff is surrounded by great mountains (Mount Rundle to the south and Mount Cascade to the north) and has the Bow River running through it.

Visiting Banff is a must for tourists travelling to the western part of Canada. Banff is a world famous lively and bustling ski town and is the gateway to three world-renowned resorts; Lake Louise, Sunshine and Norquay. For the cost conscious traveller, Swiss Village Lodge in Banff is the perfect place. Banff is considered the gateway to the Canadian Rockies because it is only a 1 hour drive west from Calgary, the closest major city. Banff is crawling with great restaurants and good bars. It’s no secret Banff is one of the most spectacular places on earth.

Enjoy Acadian Evangeline Trial, Halifax Harbor, Peggy’s Cove, Prince Edward Island (Anne of Green Gables land), New Brunswick, Campobello, and more.

Nova Scotia and the Maritimes are provinces on the Canadian Atlantic Coast, the smallest in Canada. They are very distinct and compact.

Their lush landscapes are pint size replicas of every region in Canada. Besides thousands of miles forest, the mountain clefts on Cape Breton rival the crannies in British Columbia. Apple blossoms in New Brunswick and Annapolis Valley are as pretty as those in Chelan by the Columbia River. The sandy beaches of beautiful Prince Edward Island can also be found in North Cumberland.

Its people have counterparts in ancestral stock. The Micmak Indians in Nova Scotia parallel the Shushwaps in British Columbia. Nova Scotia’s immigrants, just like those in the various regions of Canada, came from France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Ukraine and the Middle East.

Before Canada was formed in 1867, Maritimers were already rich merchants, fishermen and shipwrights, trading in many parts of the world. Those prosperous days brought lovely Victorian mansions to the little port towns, along with a high standard living.

Halifax, capital of Nova Scotia, is salty, yet sophisticated. With all the trappings of a big city, it retains the warmth of a small town, just like the rest Nova Scotia.

You will be surprised to meet great people on this trip; Alexander Graham Bell, George Bush, Cornwallace, Longfellow, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lucy Maude Montgomery, author of (Anne of Green Gables).

Discover a land and history that surprises and delights those who visit.
