Canada Immigration

June 12, 2009 By: admin Category: Canada No Comments →

Some of the issues that potential residents of Canada may want to consider upon moving include the cost of living in Canada, medical costs in Canada, and employment upon Canada immigration.

The cost of living in this country is high probably due to having to import many everyday living items. In order to supplement the high cost of living, one must obtain a job. In order to do this, one must first get a visa from the Canadian Visa Services office.

There are two different types of visas that one may obtain from the Canadian Visa Services, permanent and temporary. Temporary visas can be valid anywhere from weeks, to months, or years. Permanent visas, however, are awarded when the Canadian workforce cannot fulfill a certain position. After obtaining a visa, one must then consider about the healthcare costs here.

Generally, most temporary visa holders are not eligible to enroll in the Canadian Medicare program. However, some exceptions may apply as some jobs are bound to have higher risk and it’s the employer’s responsibility to make sure that they can get a valid visa for this purpose.

For more information on these exceptions one should contact the Canadian Visa Services office.
